Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said his meeting with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng was “successful” ahead of the Sept. 24 Trump-Xi summit.

Bessent said the two sides had discussed a “U.S.-China AI Dialogue,” with the U.S. proposing the two countries set up a notification mechanism for incidents regarding the technology.
