Anduril CEO Brian Schimpf says the debate over AI in weapons is often misunderstood, arguing that militaries have used autonomous weapons for decades.
Speaking with CNBC’s Arjun Kharpal on “The Tech Download,” Schimpf said AI should be used to make military systems more precise, predictable and discriminating — while keeping humans accountable for high-consequence decisions.
“The alternative is dumber weapons,” Schimpf said, arguing that rejecting AI could lead to less accurate and less reliable military systems.
