Starship, perched atop its Super Heavy booster, lifted off from the company’s Starbase facility in South Texas at 5:51 p.m. local time on Friday.
The rocket is carrying upgraded Starlink satellites that are intended to burn up later in the atmosphere as part of the roughly hour-long test mission.
