A man charged a security checkpoint armed with multiple weapons and was taken down by members of Secret Service, with witnesses saying security officials fired multiple rounds at the individual.
The president praised the efforts of law enforcement and said one officer was shot but had been protected by wearing a bullet-proof vest and is “doing great”.
