Fox News guest host Katie Pavlich noted that oil and gas companies are the real heroes during deadly winter storms, keeping American homes warm while getting “no thanks” for it as the left continues to “demonize” them and rail over climate change.

From Montana to New York, states spent Christmas week in a deep freeze as a wild winter storm raged and spawned a blizzard that took dozens of lives. Most of those lives were lost in Buffalo, New York according to CNN. At least 56 people are dead across 10 states and that number is expected to climb as cars are dug out of snow drifts and search and rescue operations continue.
On “The Five” Tuesday, the show’s panelists discussed the storm that battered New York and its devastating aftermath. They also addressed the rampant looting that took place in Buffalo and the state’s ridiculously lax bail laws.
“I mean, it’s good that the Buffalo mayor is speaking out against the looting and calling these people the low of the low. However, when it comes to New York’s bail laws, if these people are even arrested, they’ll be let out for doing this. And so, then his policies and the policies he supports and Governor Kathy Hochul standing right next to him… these people aren’t going to be punished for taking advantage of people when they’re stuck at home or dying in cars because they’re freezing to death,” Pavlich pointed out, referring to Democrat Mayor Byron Brown’s remarks regarding looters.
Brown’s statement on looters had previously gone viral when he declared, “People who are out looting when people are losing their lives in this harsh winter storm is just absolutely reprehensible. I don’t know how these people can even live with themselves, how they can look at themselves in the mirror. They are the lowest of the low.”

“I mean, the fact is that they’re criminals that broke the law. There was a ban on driving. They still went to these stores, then committed more crimes. So, for the mayor to then say now, well, these people are bad people… well, of course, they are. What are you gonna do about it to make sure this doesn’t happen again or to deter this kind of behavior?” Pavlich demanded.
Then she hammered the leftist hysteria over climate change and the disaster that is green energy.
“The other thing I would say about what is going on with the weather, you know, the oil and gas industry has been completely demonized for the past two years. And the reason why more people didn’t die as a result of these storms – which you cannot control, despite people’s feelings about climate change – is because people have access to cheap energy. It used to be a lot cheaper, to keep them alive. They’re not heating their homes with solar panels, not heating their homes with windmills,” the conservative firebrand bluntly remarked.

Correct. Or for any of the other benefits of cheap energy.

“They are heating them with fossil fuels and because of people who go to work every day to work on pipelines and to make sure that things go on accordingly, and they have gotten no thanks, only vilification, from the federal government and also from local governments as well,” Pavlich scathingly commented.
