US President Donald Trumped stepped up his attacks on the chair of the Federal Reserve, repeating calls for Jerome Powell to cut interest rates immediately. In his latest social media post, the President said Powell would be responsible for any economic slowdown. US stocks are set to bounce back from Monday’s losses, amid concerns over potential changes to the Fed, as investors weigh progress on trade talks with India and Tesla’s upcoming earnings.
Meanwhile, tributes continue to pour in from world leaders after Pope Francis passed away on Monday at the age of 88. Pope Francis’s funeral has been set for Saturday at 10am CET. President Trump says he and the First Lady will attend the pope’s funeral.
