President Donald Trump said he expected to reach a trade deal with the European Union as he welcomed Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to the White House, but indicated he was in no hurry to finalize agreements over tariffs until he could assure they addressed his concerns.
“There’ll be a trade deal,” Trump said Thursday, adding “I fully expect it, but it’ll be a fair deal.”
