President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he signed an executive order calling for the death penalty for anyone who kills a police officer and asked Congress to pass the policy into permanent law.
Trump was blasted online over his pardoning of Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot participants after he praised police during his speech to a joint session of Congress.
