Shares of Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) soared more than 20% on Wednesday after the retailer posted first quarter results that crushed analyst estimates on both the top and bottom lines.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co. CEO Fran Horowitz says the company’s success is "broad-based," spanning across regions and genders. Horowitz credits the retailer’s operating model, which she describes as "staying very close to the customer, keeping our inventory very lean and running this incredible chase model where once we get an indication about product, we can chase and get back into it in a relatively fast period of time," adding that customers are "just loving the product."
