Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee, asked about lowering interest rates, told CNBC on Friday that "it all depends on the data," though he sees tariffs as stagflationary.
Goolsbee said he would "be very comfortable" bringing rates down if the Fed continues to get reports showing a strong economy and slowing inflation.
