A Border Patrol agent shot and killed a man believed to be a US citizen, identified as Alex Pretti, in Minneapolis on Saturday.
President Donald Trump backed the federal officials and accused Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of “inciting Insurrection” with their rhetoric.
Walz and Frey dismissed the federal officials’ accounts of the shooting, with Walz saying “it is nonsense, people” and Frey describing a video of the incident as showing masked agents pummeling and shooting Pretti.
