Israel Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sharren Haskel said a ceasefire has gone into effect as Israel and Hamas reached a deal for the release of all hostages held by the militant group in Gaza. “Yes, it is. I think right now it just went into effect,” said Haskel, who also said she expects the Israeli cabinet to approve the first stage of the peace plan and offered an expected timeline for the release of all hostages.
