Former Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, discussing President Trump’s discontent with Fed chair Jerome Powell, said on Tuesday "markets rely on the independence of the Fed."
The idea of a new, more politically-motivated Fed chair is "really disconcerting to markets," she added.
