GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp on Thursday said the Air India jet crash in June was a "true tragedy" and a moment for him to see how the aerospace industry "does not compete on safety." The Air India plane contained two GE Aerospace engines, though investigations into the crash have not assigned responsibility to the manufacturer.
"Our priorities start with safety, then quality, and only then do we talk about delivery and cost," Culp said.
