Semiconductor manufacturer Nvidia (NVDA) is coming out swinging in its latest earnings release, topping first quarter revenue estimates by posting revenue of $44.1 billion (vs. estimates of $43.3 billion). The company’s adjusted earnings per share (EPS) fell short of estimates, the ban on its H20 chip shipments to China dragging its profits down to $0.81 (vs. estimates of $0.93 per share).
Benchmark Company managing director and senior semiconductor research analyst Cody Acree comes on ahead of the chipmaker’s earnings call to comment on Nvidia’s business with China and other chip competitors in designing AI infrastructures — particularly from the company’s new Blackwell computer chips — and the impact of the Trump administration’s latest trade policies
