Todd Boehly, part-owner of Premier League team Chelsea FC, says the English football calendar is too tight. "The challenge that we really have is how many matches these guys are playing," Boehly explains during a conversation with Francine Lacqua at the Qatar Economic Forum 2025, powered by Bloomberg. "They put in so much effort and energy, and the injuries are continuing to go up and up and up." Boehly, the CEO, co-founder, and chairman of Eldridge Industries, is one of an increasing number of US-owners of Premier League sides, but says he wouldn’t team up with other American owners to force any changes. "We believe very much in the culture," he says.
