The Gates Foundation will be winding down. The organization, started by Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates, will officially close its doors in 2045, with Bill Gates set to donate about $200 billion between now and then.
Gates says he will have given "virtually all" of his wealth to the Gates Foundation by the time it winds down. In the video above, Gates Foundation CEO Mark Suzman explains why Gates is accelerating his investment and what the organization plans to do with it.
