On May 7, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will deliver his annual testimony before the House Financial Services Committee on state of the US economy and international financial system. He is scheduled to begin at 10 am ET.
Bessent said on Monday that President Donald Trump’s trade, tax and deregulation agenda “push toward the same goal — to solidify our position as the home of global capital.” He is sure to face more questions about Trump’s trade policies, inflation and the strength of the US dollar.
