China’s top diplomat has warned countries against caving in to US tariff threats, Bloomberg’s Minmin Low reports. As the Trump administration hints at the possible use of new trade tools to pressure Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said appeasement will only embolden the "bully." This comes as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says it’s up to Beijing to take the first step in de-escalating the tariff fight with Washington due to the imbalance of trade between the two economies.
