UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves said she has “every confidence” trade and investment between the US and UK can increase with the Trump administration. Speaking to Bloomberg’s Philip Aldrick on the sidelines of the Group of 20 meeting in Cape Town, Reeves also said the increase in UK defense spending is “to improve the security of Britain” and sees the objective of “a just and durable peace” for Ukraine.
