Inskip observes that the options market was "very correct" in its Nvidia (NVDA) earnings predictions. She explains that the calculation for the options market’s implied move follows a methodology similar to that of the VIX (^VIX) index.
Highlighting increased market activity, she notes a 75% rise in total options volume over the past year. However, she emphasizes that when interpreting this data: "We have to look a lot in the detail, and it is only ever so slightly bullish, which is exactly what we’re seeing after hours."
