Nvidia (NVDA) led the Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) higher ahead of the closing bell as investors seem to shift their focus away from tariff uncertainties. Dunham & Associates Investment Counsel chief investment officer Ryan Dykmans joins Market Domination Overtime with Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton to discuss his investment strategy amid current market (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) conditions. "The valuations that we’re paying right now to get the growth that people are excited about for 2025, I feel like when you put a risk, a risk premium on that, I don’t know if we’re really hitting those numbers. So, I don’t think you’re getting compensated for risk," Dykmans says. "Therefore, we’ve been trailing back a bit on how much we’re allocating to equities across the models where you can do that, I would say, to the levels of being half exposed to equities where we can," he adds. The strategist goes on to say that if investors are "looking at choppiness in the markets, it’s looking at those opportunities for periods where we get a drop … and then obviously when it runs back up, here’s a sell-out." "And it’s not one of those that’s a complete binary on-off. It’s actually dialing in and dialing out," the strategist outlines.
