Private markets capturing the attention of asset management firm BlackRock. The Wall Street Journal’s Telis Demos telling Yahoo Finance’s Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton on Market Domination, the firm seems to be betting that private markets could morph into ETFs. “There’s an enormous opportunity for a company like BlackRock to take the various pieces of the private credit market…package them up in a way that suits various different investors’ needs,” says Demos. Demos further explains a major frontier ahead for private markets in the ETF landscape. Although all these things have maybe existed for private assets available to the everyday investor, Demos says it’s been more strategic than tactical.
