Former Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart discussed the Fed’s rationale behind cutting interest rates by 50 basis points, saying that he expects another six to seven rate cuts of 25 basis points over the next year.
However, he emphasized that the central bank still operates on a meeting-to-meeting basis.
