Amazon (AMZN) reported mixed second quarter earnings on Thursday, August 1, as well as disappointing guidance for the third quarter. Wolfe Research global internet managing director Shweta Khajuria joins Yahoo Finance to discuss Amazon’s results. "It is clear that Amazon is seeing pressure from consumer on higher ticket items," Khajuria says. "Our view, however, is twofold. One… as long as Amazon continues to gain share even when the growth is slowing, that’s still a positive… Second, is that they’re enhancing their position to gain share by delivering items faster." Khajuria notes that by delivering items faster, customers are buying lower-ticket items more frequently.
