Consumers are looking to travel in luxury without spending top dollar this summer. Vacasa Vice President Kristen Taylor told Yahoo Finance’s Brad Smith she believes travelers are keeping affordability in mind this summer by traveling domestically and spending on short-term rentals. Taylor saying the US offers great deals on rental properties including "…beachfront locations, lakefront, waterfront, locations where people are able to rent homes for around $250 a night."
Ahead of Labor Day weekend, Taylor sees more travelers gearing up to hit the road. She thinks travelers will "… drive to markets where people can last-minute book something."
