It’s "Fed Day" again. The policy-setting Federal Open Market Committee is widely expected to hold its benchmark rate steady for a seventh consecutive meeting as it awaits more evidence that inflation is still moving down toward its 2% target. The rate decision, and the projections, will be released at 2 p.m. in Washington. Fed Chair Jerome Powell will hold a press conference 30 minutes later.
