Demonstrations took place outside the National Congress in Buenos Aires on Wednesday as Argentina’s Senate debates a reform package put forward by President Javier Milei. Resistance against Milei’s economic and fiscal measures escalated outside Congress in the afternoon as protesters threw rocks and broken glass at riot police attempting to clear part of the plaza in front of the legislature with a water cannon and tear gas.
