A former Goldman Sachs partner will soon be leading the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Beth Hammack worked at Goldman for 30 years, most recently as co-head of the global financing group. Hammack will replace Loretta Mester as president and CEO of the bank. Mester’s last day is June 30. Hammack’s tenure will begin on August 21, with Cleveland Fed First Vice President Mark Meder serving as interim president and chief executive officer. Hammack will become a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee upon taking office.
