US March CPI Rises by 0.4%, Topping Estimates

The US core consumer price index for March rose by 0.4% from February. The estimate called for a rise of 0.3%. From a year ago, it advanced 3.8%, holding steady from the prior month. Bloomberg’s Michael McKee reports.
