Two Indianapolis women helped police apprehend a suspect behind the kidnapping of two five-month-old babies from Columbus and even helped locate one of the missing boys in Ohio last week, according to news reports.
Shyann Belmar told WSYX-TV that she met the suspect, Nalah Jackson, at a gas station Dec. 20. Jackson asked for a ride, and Belmar agreed, WRGT-TV reported.
At that time, Belmar was unaware Jackson was wanted for the kidnapping of Kyair and Kason Thomas. The two babies had been in the back seat of a car that was left running when the vehicle was stolen Dec. 19, according to CNN.

Aussie man Steve Middleton, 50, awoke to a ruckus at his home in Gold Coast, Australia. It was 4:30 a.m. and someone was rummaging through his car.
Crikey.
When he discovered he was being burglarized, he wasted no time getting fully dressed.
“I was naked; I woke up, found a pair of underpants, threw ’em on, ran outside, scared one of them — managed to tackle him,” Middleton told Nine News.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott today sent letters to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Railroad Commission of Texas Chairman Christi Craddick calling on their respective agencies to investigate Atmos Energy’s failure to prepare for the winter weather event last week and deliver critical natural gas service to Texans in north and central Texas.
“Leading up to, and during the winter event, State of Texas agencies worked around the clock to mobilize resources and assist utilities in anyway possible,” reads one of the letters. “At no time did Atmos Energy request assistance.

Anyone arriving in the United States from China via air travel will need to undergo COVID-19 testing prior to their arrival.
The announcement follows news that the Chinese government has reduced pandemic-era travel restrictions amid an increase in COVID-19 cases. The Communist country recently abandoned its longheld “zero COVID” policy which was marked by strict lockdowns and isolation requirements in order to contain the virus. 
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s new order applies to anyone arriving from mainland China, as well as Hong Kong and Macau.
